..... cor blimey has it been that long since I logged onto Xanga? Obviously I must be bored out of my brain to visit this site again and enter a blog.

Only 2 major things have happened since my last blog: 1) Massive renovations to my house (loft and rear), 2) Broke my collarbone playing football... ><"

So we're reaching about Week 7 of my rear extension work..... I've had the builders in my house for a total of 12 weeks now (loft was done first). It's finishing soon..... I hope....... (Photo log on facebook).

As for my collarbone, I broke my left clavicle playing 5-a-side about 2 weeks ago. Some f*cker decided to take my legs away rather than go for the ball..... I was running full pelt so when my legs went under me, the moment carried me forward and I basically speared into the ground with my shoulder taking the full brunt of the impact. Funnily enough it wasn't exceedingly painful, I wasn't screaming my head off either..... it just ached.....

Spent the evening at A&E, waste of time as they sent me away..... so thankfully I realised I had BUPA cover with work.... a trip to a private hospital and the consultant I saw booked me in for surgery last tues..... According to the consultant, my collarbone was fractured badly and the break looked more like one you get during a high-speed impact (like falling off a bike) rather than a sports injury.

Anyways, they had to fit in an artificial bone graft and pin a plate to my shoulder...... only recently got the use of my left arm back..... seems it'll be another 4 weeks before I can raise my arm above my shoulder, 1-2 months before I can start lifting heavy items and at least 12 months before it fully heals.....

*sigh* No more football for 12 months........ ARGGGHHHHH..... >_<"

..... remapped my FR........ broom broom.......

...... so about 2 weeks ago I took one of those online psychometric and abilities exams from SHL...... basically I had one interview left which I didn't cancel (even though I'm no longer moving jobs) and wanted to see what my results would be.....

Weds last week I took a days holiday and shuffled along to PA consultings head office in Victoria.

First hour was an interview with the HR person to talk about my test results, and she was pretty amazed at my numerical test results...... All the exams are normalised (bit of Maths Stats here.....), with 5 being the peak of the normal distribution and 1 the lowest and 10 the highest. The range of the peak is 4-6 and potential employees of PA must fall within this range (or above).

So for my numerical results I got a 10....... which is WAAAAY above average..... kekekeke......
For my verbal results I got a 5, which is just spot on normal!

I've always managed to score really high marks for my numerical, probably due to my mathematical/engineering background, but I've always struggled with my verbal....... The funniest results I've ever got were when I was interviewing for Accenture about 3 odd years ago, I got 90+% for numerical and 40% for verbal...... obviously I didn't get the job!

Anyways, the recent numerical test was only the 3rd one I've ever completed in the time limit given, in fact I finished it with about 5 mins spare!! The secret to this was using an excel spreadsheet to do all my calculations..... rather than using a calculator and paper I did everything in excel and damn it helped LOADS! So there.... if you're doing an online numerical exam, use excel to do your calculations!!!
